SUMMARY:Seminar: What You Do Matters, Lessons frrom the Holocaust
DESCRIPTION:What You Do Matters: Lessons from the Holocaust is a highly int
eractive course developed in concert with the United States Holocaust Memo
rial Museum (USHMM) specifically with focus on ethical and bias free leade
rship for the courts and criminal justice system. How Germany changed in l
ess than a decade from a free, democratic, and scientifically advanced com
munity to a totalitarian regime that systematically targeted and murdered
their own people is a lesson for every free society and those who practice
and enforce the law. Course materials were developed to examine the &ldqu
o;slippery slope” that occurred with law enforcement during nine sho
rt years.\n\n\nThe course offers an incredibly powerful curriculum on ensu
ring that the core values of policing, the courts, and criminal justice sy
stem are upheld. All courses are facilitated by law enforcement profession
als and utilize historical images, videos, artifacts, and displays selecte
d by museum historians for engaging conversation for thought leadership. T
he course is like no other course in criminal justice and is supported by
several years of short-term and long-term survey results.\n\n\nhttps://nsa
