SUMMARY:Seminar: Election Security Under Threat: Scenario Based Training in
  Threat Response
DESCRIPTION:American elections have become a recurring operational challeng
e for law enforcement leaders nationwide. During the 2024 election cycle a
lone, approximately 250 bomb threats targeted polling locations and electi
on offices across multiple states, alongside ballot drop box arsons, swatt
ing incidents, confrontations with so-called First Amendment Auditors, and
escalating threats against election officials. According to a 2025 local
election official survey, more than 1 in 3 local election officials have e
xperienced threats, harassment, or abuse. Additionally, election offices a
cross the country continue to receive suspicious powdery substances intend
ed to frighten election administrators, while newer election security thre
ats, such as Unmanned Aircraft Systems, have caused chaos at a Houston pol
ling location on Election Day.\n\n\nThese incidents demonstrate that elect
ion threats are not isolated events but part of broader efforts to create
chaos, strain law enforcement resources, and undermine confidence in democ
ratic outcomes.\n\n\nBy examining case studies, this session will highligh
t effective collaboration between law enforcement and election officials t
hat helped mitigate threats and ensure the continuity of election operatio
ns. Participants will apply best practices through an interactive virtual
tabletop exercise using BlueLogic Training, focusing on election security.
Participants will walk through realistic scenarios and provide real-time
 responses.\n\n\nhttps://nsaconf.org
