Based on the DC Sniper case from October 2002 that transfixed the nation one year after 9-11, this presentation reviews the investigative techniques used to track down John Muhamad and Lee Boyd Malvo which navigating the difficulties of managing numerous jurisdictional challenges and innumerable stakeholders who were overwhelmed by the level of violence. From integrating thousands of tips to organizing various local, state and federal investigators and associated staff this presentation explains how this was all done to reach its successful conclusion.
