Justice Community Overdose Innovation Network (JCOIN)
Booth: 213
The Justice Community Overdose Innovation Network (JCOIN) is a nationwide initiative that tests strategies to expand effective treatment, recovery, and related services for individuals with substance use disorders who are involved in the criminal justice system. Led by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), JCOIN brings together research institutions, local and state justice systems, and community-based treatment programs to generate actionable, real-world insights aimed at reducing overdose risk and improving the delivery of evidence-based care. JCOIN also supports studies on emerging policies and practices affecting justice-involved populations and helps bring new and underrepresented investigators into the field of justice-related research. Through these efforts, JCOIN has developed a rich set of resources to promote the broad uptake of research-backed interventions and services, including research translation products, trainings, technical assistance, and other capacity-building activities for practitioners.
