ASPCA

Booth: 1234

The ASPCA® (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) has been at the forefront of animal rescue and protection since our founding as the first animal welfare organization in North America in 1866. For more than 150 years, we have been the leading voice in animal welfare, bringing the critical protection of animals to the forefront of society. The ASPCA’s Legal Advocacy & Investigations department provides investigative and legal subject matter expertise to law enforcement, animal control officers and prosecutors pursuing animal cruelty and animal fighting cases nationwide. Our team includes investigators, former prosecutors and former criminal defense attorneys, who are here to assist you from initial investigations to the final placement of rescued animals in homes. Other ASPCA resources integral to the success of criminal cases include experts in veterinary forensics, crime scene processing and animal behavior. In addition to case work, the ASPCA regularly conducts training and workshops for animal control agencies, law enforcement, prosecutors, veterinarians and other animal welfare professionals, and deploys throughout the United States to provide on the ground support with search and seizure warrant operations.
