D.A.R.E. is a science & evidence-based substance abuse prevention education program utilizing trained police officers who teach K-12 students good decision-making skills for safe and healthy living, D.A.R.E.’s elementary, middle, and high school curricula, as well as its enhancement lessons on subjects that include opioid and prescription drug abuse, bullying, and internet safety, have been developed through partnerships with highly respected universities and prevention education experts.
