Jim Burch

President - National Policing Institute

Jim Burch is President of the National Policing Institute (NPI), a national, nonpartisan organization advancing policing through science and community innovation. With over 20 years of senior leadership experience at the U.S. Department of Justice, he has overseen major federal law enforcement initiatives and funding programs. Since joining NPI in 2015, Burch has led the organization to new heights in evidence-based policing. He is also a Senior Fellow at George Mason University’s Center for Evidence-Based Crime Policy and serves on several national public safety and education boards.
