Jessica Oljey

Assistant Superintendent of Programs, Reentry, and STAR - Essex County Sheriff's Department

Jessica Oljey is an experienced leader in public administration management, working as the Assistant Superintendent – Programs, Reentry, & STAR (Supporting Transitions & Reentry) for the Essex County Sheriff’s Department. Driven by a strong passion and creative vision to improve outcomes for justice-involved individuals, she takes pride in developing community partnerships and programming opportunities to support the success of individuals housed in Essex County and/or returning to the cities/towns in the County. She believes that enhanced opportunities to build reentry success result in better outcomes for the population served, with the goal of creating safer communities with reentry-ready individuals. Jessica possesses both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Massachusetts, as well as a Graduate certificate in Domestic Violence Prevention and a Certificate in Drug & Alcohol Counseling. She is an avid reader, remaining current on relevant research, best practices, and promising initiatives in the field.
