Chief Deputy - Franklin County Sheriff's Office
Chief Marvin E. Hill serves as the Recruitment, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Commander for the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, where he leads efforts in hiring, retention, and promoting DEI both within the agency and the community. With over 34 years in law enforcement—including 30 with the Ohio State Highway Patrol—Chief Hill is a passionate advocate for equal opportunity, leadership development, and mentoring the next generation of officers. A decorated officer and recognized leader, Chief Hill was named the 1999 Ohio State Highway Patrol “State Trooper of the Year,” a distinction later earned by his son, making them the first father-son duo in OSHP history to receive the honor. He holds degrees from Thiel College, Kent State University, and NC State’s AOMP program. Beyond his law enforcement work, he is active in ministry, youth mentorship, and community education, and proudly serves as Chaplain for several regional and national organizations.
