Captain Heather Eicher serves as the Security Captain for Fayette County Jail, bringing over 14 years of dedicated experience in correctional facility operations, inmate management, institutional safety, and law enforcement collaboration. With a steadfast commitment to maintaining order and ensuring the well-being of both staff and inmates, Captain Eicher plays a critical leadership role in the daily security of the facility. Beginning her career as a corrections officer in 2011, Captain Eicher rose through the ranks due to her dedication to operational excellence, leadership under pressure, and strong commitment to staff development. She was promoted to Sergeant in 2019 and started building relationships with local law enforcement. Then to Lieutenant in 2020, before assuming the role of Security Captain in 2022. In her current role, she has earned a reputation for professionalism, strategic thinking, integrity, and a deep understanding of correctional operations. As Security Captain, she now oversees daily security protocols, supervises a team of officers and ensures compliance with state regulations. Captain Eicher works closely with local law enforcement agencies, including the Pennsylvania State Police and local municipalities with internal investigations as well as criminal investigations. Her ability to build trust across agencies has strengthened interdepartmental cooperation and improved communication in high-stakes situations. With a deep sense of duty and community service Captain Eicher continues to be a pivotal figure in the success and stability of Fayette County Jail.
