Colin Whittington is a former Deputy Sheriff, founder and CEO of Recruiting Heroes, and best-selling author of Beyond the Thin Blue Line. During his time with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, he earned two Life Saving Awards and was named Virginia Deputy Sheriff of the Year in 2019. As a Sergeant, he led recruiting and hiring for Virginia’s largest full-service sheriff’s office, achieving record-low vacancy rates through innovative strategies. After leaving law enforcement in 2022, Colin launched Recruiting Heroes LLC, helping veterans and first responders transition into meaningful careers. His 2024 book offers guidance for service members navigating the shift to the private sector. Outside of work, Colin enjoys family time, soccer, and Ironman triathlons.
