Missing Person Alerting Subject Matter Expert - Ashanti Alert Training and Technical Assistance Team
Carri Gordon has served with the Washington State Patrol since 1991, spending 17 years in the Communications Division, including five as training program manager. She played a key role in launching the state’s AMBER Alert Plan and developing related training and procedures. Since 2012, she has served as the Washington State AMBER Alert Coordinator and Missing Persons Clearinghouse Manager, overseeing all missing person alerts statewide. She helped implement the Missing Indigenous Person Alert and advanced alerting technology that delivers location-based alerts with photos to nearby cell phones. Gordon also supports national efforts through the National Ashanti Alert Network and the National Criminal Justice Training Center.
