James Vaughn

Law Enforcement Coordinator - Regional Organized Crime Information Center (ROCIC)

Jim Vaughn is a Law Enforcement Coordinator for the Regional Organized Crime Information Center (ROCIC), supporting 158 agencies across middle and east Tennessee. He joined ROCIC after retiring from the Hendersonville Police Department in 2018, where he served for 36 years—29 of them in the Criminal Investigation Division and eight in supervisory roles, including Public Information Officer. Jim led numerous high-profile, multi-state investigations and earned commendations from the FBI and the City of Hendersonville, including Officer of the Year in 1992. He holds degrees from Middle Tennessee State University and Volunteer State Community College, is a graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command, and has over 2,600 hours of specialized training. He has also served as a County Commissioner, FOP Lodge President, and law enforcement instructor.
