Carter Weaver

Sheriff - Georgetown Sheriff's Office

Carter Weaver joined the Georgetown (SC) Sheriff’s Office in 2001 and was elected sheriff in February 2020. He previously served 14 years with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division where we worked in various roles including the bloodhound tracking team, SWAT, outlaw motorcycle gangs, fugitive apprehension, and criminal investigations. He has a Juris Doctorate degree from Charleston (SC) School of Law, a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Coastal Carolina University, SC, and he is an alumnus of the FBI National Academy.
